Condition Treated: Back Pain

I heard about AktivHealth from one of my German friends. As I was suffering from low back pain, I visited the center for the first time in February 2014. The rehabilitation process at AktivHealth is very different and professional. The physiotherapists, as well as other staff, know how to deal with the patients. Therapists have good knowledge of the subject and the quality and care are outstanding.

My condition improved slowly but it was good progress. I can say without an iota of doubt that the western approach of AktivHealth is very different from what is followed by other facilities here.

It is a place of good advice and a very professional approach. The machines are one-of-a-kind and the staff is very caring and helpful.

Condition Treated: Shoulder Pain

I was suffering from severe shoulder pain and came to AktivHealth in January 2014 on the advice of a friend. The meticulous approach and the details have gone into by Dr. Mueller and his team helped in the analysis of my ailment and I was diagnosed with tendonitis.

The physiotherapists responsible for my rehabilitation program, Ms. Nidhi Arora and Mr. Akshay Arora, chalked out a strategy and the care is taken by them was absolutely stupendous.

Every aspect was addressed and there was a lot of diligence from their side which made me feel so ‘well taken care of’. I have recovered and developed strength in my body which has given me a lot of confidence about my physical abilities. There is no doubt that the quality of treatment in AktivHealth is above par! Condition Treated:  Slip Disc & Back Pain

Experience:

I had a slipped disc in 2012 and was suffering from pain in my lower back and other related issues. I could not indulge in any physical activity as the pain used to get aggravated. I visited quite a few medical institutions and consulted senior spine orthopedics at these places. I also tried physiotherapy, homeopathy and some Ayurvedic medicines but all this provided only temporary relief. I came to know about AktivHealth viewing a TV program wherein, a discussion on AktivHealth along with some patient interviews was being conducted.

I visited the AktivHealth center in February 2015 and after assessing my ailment, a plan was formulated by Dr. Mueller and his team of professionals. Mr. Akshay Arora, the physiotherapist who was assigned to me, was extremely patient and constantly motivated me to adhere to the stipulated regimen. My father, Mr. Gurdeep Singh, was a patient at AktivHealth and he recommended it to me. I first came to the center in December 2014. I had been a regular long-distance runner for two years and was suffering from stress fractures and foot injuries. I wanted to know the root causes.

At AktivHealth, I was diagnosed by Dr. Rana Chengappa with displaced navicular, biomechanical imbalances and lack of muscular strength. My physiotherapist has done a phenomenal job, explaining the process, detailing it and training me on how to do it on my own. Given that I was only in Delhi for 2 weeks, this has been invaluable.

Now, I see and feel a tangible difference in my core strength and biomechanics. The progress is motivating and with this training, I expect to keep the momentum in my improvement. Experience:

I came to know about AktivHealth from my husband who is also a client of this institute. I was experiencing pain in the right shoulder as a result of which, the movements were also restricted. Though I have been to other institutions that are good in their own way, since none of them could provide a rehabilitation program, I was not benefitted in any way.

After being assigned to the physiotherapist Nr Nitin Sharma, there is a remarkable improvement. The kind of care and sensitivity displayed by Mr. Nitin has been truly exemplary. I could adhere to the regimen which was formulated for me, only due to the constant encouragement and motivation given by the physiotherapist. Condition Treated:  Coccydynia & Muscle Pain

Experience:

My friend told me about AktivHealth. In August 2013, I made my first visit to the center with acute lower back and shoulder pain. I was suffering from Coccydynia (tailbone pain) and impingement at shoulder joint; my back and shoulder muscles were weak.

Earlier, I visited a couple of centers where there was less emphasis on exercise and rebuilding, only passive therapy was given.

At AktivHealth, I experienced quite the opposite. Itis the quality of their manual techniques that has relieved my pain. The variety of exercises and their highly equipped space were something I had never experienced before. Here, passive therapies were given only when needed.

I have received very focused and diligent care at AktivHealth. My physiotherapist, Ms. Nidhi Arora, has an empathetic attitude towards her patients. She is very sincere and patient-oriented.

I am certainly feeling better. The pain in my lower back and limbs has reduced and my pseudo-sciatic ache, which limited my movement, is almost gone. My muscles feel stronger now.

Their approach makes AktivHealth a very focused institution. Once a time has been allotted and a patient has arrived, there are no delays – straight to the work. The physiotherapist also takes detailed feedback from the patient about their experience as well as various other inputs. No shortcuts are taken– care and correct treatment are key.

AktivHealth has given me hope and I am keen to get better by working hard.

Condition Treated: Ankle Sprain

Experience:

In November 2013, I visited AktivHealth to consult Dr.Gerd Mueller for my ankle injury. As my husband was being treated at the same center and had achieved fantastic results, it was a natural choice for me. This was the first time I had been anywhere for prolonged treatment. During my rehabilitation at AktivHealth, I discovered a list of related problems like improper balance and low stamina. My physiotherapist, Mr. Akshay Arora worked all of this into my program. This is something that I might never have specifically worked on simply as I was not aware of these problems. Since dancing is a big part of my work, AktivHealth’s rehabilitation program has worked really well for me.

I personally feel quality and care at AktivHealth are par excellence. From my first consultation with Dr. Mueller and the quick diagnosis to the way the treatment was prescribed and executed, I knew and could feel I was in great hands. What’s really amazing is that my levels of energy are now much higher, thanks to my physiotherapist for constantly edging me on to do that little extra! Since I am a dancer, aches and pains are a regular part of my life but due to Dr. Akshay, who goes to the root of a problem, it immediately gets treated. So, it’s not just one particular problem that I’m being treated, for now, it’s more a complete workout that combines strength, flexibility, and stamina and it’s doing me a world of good.

I’m generally feeling healthier, having also lost the extra weight that I put on due to lack of movement with my injured ankle. It’s hard for me to describe in words my experience with AktivHealth; it’s like I have a new lease of life and I’m a complete addict to the Aktiv way!

Condition Treated:  Neck & Back Pain

Experience:

On the recommendation of a friend, I visited AktivHealth in January 2016 due to severe pain in my neck and back. The manner in which Dr. Mueller and his team went about diagnosing my ailment and then planning a rehabilitation program, speaks immensely about the degree of professionalism and dedication of the entire staff in this center.

I really feel better and the ‘pangs of suffering’ no more haunts me. Such a feeling has never been experienced by me before despite having visited so many institutions before. The pain has definitely lessened. My physiotherapist Mr. Suryamani was very attentive and extremely sincere who kept encouraging me at every step as a result of which, one could follow the treatment plan effortlessly which otherwise, was seeming to be difficult.

Condition Treated: Joints & Foot Pain

Experience: 

I was introduced to AktivHealth by a colleague who recommended the center for treatment of my wife’s knee problem. I suffered from a painful inflammation of the arch of my right foot and heel as well as pain from the small muscles that support the joint of my right knee has taken some long walks over rough ground. I felt one of my legs was overly dependent on the other and so, I was taking a long time to recover than what I would have expected.

This pain in my knee made it very painful to climb or descend from irregular, high or steep steps. As my wife had benefitted from her treatment at AktivHealth, I thought it would be worth trying to see if they could help solve my problem after being advised to get some physiotherapy by my physician.

The treatment started with a myofascial release to loosen up my tight muscles so that I could make the best use of my exercise program devised to help me with movement, strengthening of my knee and to also build up core muscles and improve my posture. The whole program is designed to make the cure self-sustaining.

After 12 weeks of the AktivHealth Plan, I have less muscular pain because my posture is better and the core muscles are getting stronger; I am more active and more confident in what my body is capable of. This means that I am less likely to go back into the vicious circle of adopting strategies to protect a sensitive or painful limb which, in turn, leads to poor posture and more muscular pain.

Dr. Mueller and his team are significantly different from the approach followed by other facilities. I do consider that taking a holistic (as in total body) approach and treating a patient in a manner that he is helped to achieve what he wants to, makes it a win-win situation. My experience has been a highly positive one and one that has made me more physically able now than I would have been had the focus been solely on treating my right knee and foot. I also think that the approach of the team leads to greater sustainability of the success of the treatment in a patient’s life.

The result has been that I am now able to enjoy walking and exploring towns and buildings without continuously having to worry that my right leg will ‘break down’ again.

Condition Treated:  Chronic Pain

Experience:

At 93 (Joan) and 94 (Dilip) years of age, we are luckily in good health. But with few aches and pains, we both needed extra exercises. After consulting with Dr. Mueller, we have been coming to AktivHealth twice every week. The rehabilitation process at AktivHealth has been excellent and enjoyable. The quality and care are excellent from the time we set foot in the clinic. We both feel steadier on our feet and more confident now.

Condition Treated: Torticollis

Experience:

We came to know about AktivHealth through two patients, Ms. Renu Munjal, and Ms. Anita Walia. In March 2014, I took my son (Kamran) to AktivHealth for the first time to get his neck and its movement checked. He suffered from a medical condition known as torticollis.

Prior to coming to AktivHealth, we visited a few centers but the results were negligible. The rehabilitation process at AktivHealth is very different. Ms. Aditi Midha (Kamran’s physiotherapist) is just wonderful. She is patient, friendly and has really been able to help him.

Now, his head is straighter and has greater range of motion. There is an overall improvement. All our previous treatments had a western approach; however, we have seen better results at AktivHealth.

Condition Treated: Foot Pain

Experience: 

I heard about AktivHealth from my children, Aseem and Ayesha Dosaj, who highly recommended Dr. Gerd Mueller. Also, my doctor, Dr. Sachin Yadav’s (Podiatrist), suggested that I should visit AktivHealth to seek treatment for the pain in my right heel. I was suffering from plantar fasciitis of the right foot. So I visited the center in October 2014.

I have experienced fantastic care and healing at AktivHealth, thanks to Dr. Mueller and my physiotherapist, Ms. Pallavi Jain. AktivHealth gave me 100% fit feet and 100% pain relief.
