I was suffering from pseudoparkinsonism (Parkinson’s disease) and was feeling depressed about my ailment since nothing seemed to be working in my favour. I had visited a big multi-speciality hospital in Kolkata but the diagnosis was not conclusive thereby leaving me in the lurch. I heard about AktivHealth from its founder, Dr. Gerd Mueller (MD) and a friend, Mr. Armin Albert. I visited the center as I was having backache and tremors in my hand. I saw a physiotherapist a year ago but found very little improvement and that was only temporary. AktivHealth is very different from any other center that I have ever been to. They are very focussed and every patient is given the personal attention they require. They are very thorough in their work and make sure that the patient is comfortable at their center. I came to know about AktivHealth through my doctor, Dr. Surbhi Suden. She brought me to the center on 19th June 2014. My legs were so weak that I could not walk.

Before coming to AktivHealth I had treatment at another hospital. They did try to help but there was no visible effect, so I moved. I was suffering from acute pain in my lower back for quite some time which was causing immense discomfort and due to which, I was hampered in carrying out routine chores. I came to know about AktivHealth through the internet and came to the center in December 2015. I was suffering from chronic cervical pain (headache) and severe pain in the neck. Germany had undergone few physiotherapy massage sessions for the same but there was not much relief.

Condition Treated: Frozen Shoulder & Cervical Pain

Experience:

I made my first visit to AktivHealth at the Punjabi Bagh center in July 2015 after being recommended by my daughter-in-law Mrs. Monica. Being a patient of frozen left shoulder and cervical pain, I was suffering from severe pain in the shoulder which was causing restriction of my movements.

Earlier, I had visited a couple of other centers where only passive therapy was given and there was less emphasis on exercise and rebuilding. At AktivHealth, I experienced quite the opposite. Condition Treated:  Cervical Spine & Disseminated Neuropathy

Experience:

I came to AktivHealth in a state wherein I could not walk, sit, eat, bathe or even carry out other routine activities without being helped or supported by a dedicated attendant. This condition had developed due to diabetes and the cervical spine, which in turn, has affected my nerves. A biopsy carried out earlier at Mayo, U.S.A., had revealed that my nerves were getting damaged. Fortunately, regeneration of the nerves had started and very limited progress was made in the rehabilitation center where I underwent physiotherapy apart from being subjected to a strong dose of Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) and protein. On returning from the U.S.A., my family members were on the lookout for a place where I could be treated effectively since my ailment required specialized care. I scoured the net and came across the name of AktivHealth. We met Dr. Mueller and Dr. Pooja and after due consultation and deliberation, we decided to get myself treated at AktivHealth.
